The Eleusinion Order was openly established in 2012, bringing to light a legacy of esoteric wisdom and spiritual practice that traces its roots back to the 1980s. The Order was founded by Spyrodemos Anemogiannis-Sinanidis, a renowned Greek scholar and esotericist, whose lifelong dedication to the study and practice of ancient Greek mysticism provided the foundation for the Order.

Origins

The origins of the Eleusinion Order lie in a small, dedicated group of Orphic practitioners who gathered in the 1980s under the guidance of Anemogiannis-Sinanidis. This group focused on the revival and preservation of Orphic and Eleusinian traditions, exploring the ancient rites, philosophies, and spiritual practices that have inspired seekers for millennia. The group has its origins and is deeply rooted in the lineage of Spyridon Nagos, a renowned Pythagorean and esotericist from the late 1800s.

Today, the group of fifth-generation Orphics is under the guidance of the surviving companion of S.A. Sinanidis, Evi Koumousi in Greece, and Tony Crisos, a prominent member of the original group, in the U.S. They continue the tradition faithfully, upholding the highest standards while preserving the legacy for the new generation of esoteric practitioners.

The mission of the Eleusinion Order is to offer a modern path to the soul’s progress rooted in the rich mystery traditions of ancient Greece. The Order aims to preserve and transmit the teachings and practices of the Orphic and Eleusinian Mysteries, adapting them to contemporary life while maintaining their profound spiritual essence.
